Una Szeemann's (b. 1975) installations build material traces of invisible phenomena. Her approach that allows us new narrative possibilities of unconscious process, creates tension between physical and abstract forms. In "We All Worked in Theater", she and her mother Ingeborg Lüscher tell a common biographical story while clouding the issues.
Her solo and group exhibitions include Kunsthalle Winterthur, MASI Lugano, Kunstverein Hamburg, Belvedere 21 Vienna, Nam June Paik Art Center Seoul, Kunstmuseum Luzern, Fundacio Joan Miro Barcelona, Contemporary Art Center Vilnius and Kunsthalle Vienna. She has also exhibited at Manifesta 11, the 5th Busan Biennale in Korea, the 3rd Contour Biennale in Belgium, the 9th Lyon Biennale and the 52nd Venice Biennale.
