We are pleased to announce that Café des Glaces invites All Stars for a double exhibition featuring The Apple of My Eye by Elvira Bättig, with a text by Eleonora Bitterli, and Constellation II by Eva Ayache-Vanderhorst, with a text by Juliette Hage. Join us for the opening on March 29!

Elvira Bättig (b. 1997, Adligenswil, LU, Switzerland) lives and works between Zurich and Lucerne. Graduating with honors from the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste with a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts (2021), she was assistant artist to Vera Marke (2021-2022) before co-founding marytwo exhibition in Lucerne with Jack Pryce in 2022.

Her artistic practice combines installation, curatorial and collaborative projects, and has been presented in group shows such as THINK BEFORE YOU PRINT (Munich, 2023) and zentral! (Kunstmuseum Luzern, 2022). Exhibitions include Stiftung Binz39, Zurich (2023) and Museum im Bellpark, Kriens, (2023). Her work is part of public collections, including those of the Museum im Bellpark and the Canton of Lucerne. Winner of a residency at Chez Fifi (Connecticut, USA, 2023), she received support from Pro Helvetia in 2021 and was nominated in 2024 for the Percent for Art project at the Moosmatt School.

Eva Ayache Vanderhorst (b. 1994) is a French artist who lives and works in Lausanne since 2022. She graduated of the École nationale supérieure d'art de Paris-Cergy and pursued a Master's degree in visual arts at ECAL, Switzerland. Through painting, installation, performance and photography, her work explores narrative and spatial dynamics.

In 2023, she presented her installation The Constellations 1 in the group show All my lovers like to fight at the Centre d'art de la Meute in Lausanne. Her photographic project Astana, entre rêve et réalités was exhibited at Galerie Floréal Belleville (2019) and at the Rencontres de la photographie d'Arles as part of the Les Nuits de l'Année program. In 2019, she also presented the video of her performance Matin, midi, soir at CREDAC as part of a group exhibition.
